In game, from 25 m above the north arm, looking south over the tank farm to the Pump House. Today's build on a local test server on Harbor (never the live one), no HUD. Maps 1000–1003 from main; 1004–1006 from the maps branch. The per-map skies and grades of LORE.md are not in main yet (they are on the looks2 branch), so every map still wears the same warm sky.
Overview drawn from the map file: objectives as the HUD letters them, spawn camps, attack axes and vehicle lanes, landmark names, scale bar (tools/lore-maps.mjs).Top-down render from the game client (camera straight down, fog off) with the same objectives projected on it.
Size tier: BIG: 4 sectors, 256 players (128 v 128), 724 × 626 m. Four arms (north, east, south, west) converge on a walled core.
Modes: Domination.
Region and climate: the dry western shore of the Caspian basin, oil country turned power country. Semi-arid; a hot, dusty autumn; no water anywhere on the map.
Time and weather: late afternoon. A low warm sun (about 38° up, from the north-east) rakes the dirt; dusty orange haze on the horizon; cloudless; two or three burning wells smoking in the distance.
Holds / attacks: HALCYON holds it (taken in Season 0's opening raids); VRG attacks, on home ground.
Why it matters: the refinery's gas turbines power the largest inference cluster on the Caspian. HALCYON put a server hall in the main pump house; VRG's drone works upstream run short of power while it stands. For VRG this contract is also about pride: it is their plant.
Vehicles: today two trucks per side per sector (HMG gunner seat) and one attacker APC per platoon. BIG tier plan (DESIGN.md §20.5): plus 2 MBT, 2 mobile AA, an attack and a transport helicopter, and a counter-drone battery in each home camp.
Palette and sky: ochre dirt #B08A5A, bleached concrete #CFC4B0, rust tanks #8A4B2C, oil black #2A2420, dust haze #AD9475. Sky: warm sunset puresky (belfast_sunset_puresky), fog the colour of the dusty horizon.
Soundscape: dry wind through pipe racks, hot metal ticking, the low roar of a gas flare, tarps snapping, a pump-jack creaking in the east field, generator hum from the core, distant dogs, the odd far artillery thump.
Music:MAP-1000 "Flare Stack", 92 BPM, heat-haze dread: VRG's iron percussion under a shimmering drone, building to a hammering last third.

What it is
core
The Pump House
The main pump house in the walled core (362, 300), HALCYON's server hall. Four corner pillboxes and the core ring road. The damage bar is this hall burning.
A, B
Tank Farm Junction (north arm)
Lettered pair at the inverted-V road junction north of the core. The arm's burn-offs are the Column Trio, three tall stacks at the tank farm (y ≈ 506); cooling at the north camps.
C, D
Control Row (east arm)
The control buildings east of the core, pipe roofs and diamond skylights. The arm runs down the Oil Village main street past burnt yards and the pump-jack field.
E, F
South Plant (south arm)
The apron of the south plant hall and its two chimneys. The arm crosses the open Pipeline Yard and its pits.
G, H
West Gate (west arm)
The ring road's west side by the pillboxes. The arm fights through the Apartment Town blocks.
Lanes and where the fights happen
North: down the pipe-rack road through the tank farm. Tanks block sight: short, sudden fights at the Column Trio, then a push to the junction.
East: the longest sightline, straight down the Oil Village main street. Burnt yards and the tent camp are the cover; the AAA sits in the clearing between the yards.
South: the most open arm. The Pipeline Yard pits give little cover; the berm in front of the attackers' spawn and smoke decide it.
West: close quarters in the Apartment Town, block to block, then the bunker row at x ≈ 178.
Core: all four arms meet on the ring road; the last fight is around the pillboxes and the Pump House apron.
